Meet our founders
My inspiration came from a simple, powerful moment—standing beside a white birch tree in Finland, its pale bark luminous against the green canopy. It captivated me. I had heard of birch trees before, but never truly seen one like this: graceful, grounded, and alive with something ancient and healing.
It was only later that I discovered the remarkable nutritional properties of its sap. This quiet tree held a secret—pure, living water that nourishes from the inside out. It felt like nature was whispering something to us, something we had forgotten.
A dear friend reminded us of a passage from the Bible, from Revelation 22:
“Then the angel showed me a river with the water of life, clear as crystal… On each side of the river grew a tree of life… the leaves were used for medicine to heal the nations.”
To me, the birch is that tree. Its sap, like the water of life, is a gift that renews and heals. Its leaves, bark, and presence offer quiet strength and medicine. My husband, who grew up with these trees, agreed: we had overlooked something extraordinary. Why hadn’t we grown up with this? Why isn’t it everywhere?
We believe it should be. Not by disrupting nature—but by listening to it. By returning to it. This isn’t about innovation. It’s about reconnection. If something so simple and abundant can support children, parents, and elders alike, shouldn’t everyone have access to it?
Nature provides. We only have to receive.
